Waterbom Bali: choosing your ticket and planning a day at the water park
Waterbom Bali in Kuta is a full-day outing for families and groups of friends. To avoid surprises at the entrance, sort out three things first: what your ticket covers, what you will pay for on top and how you will get there.

The short answer
For a day at Waterbom, a ticket for a specific date is all you need, but do not assume it includes a towel, locker, food or transport. The ticket in our selection is standalone full-day admission to the park. Extras are paid on site and transport is arranged separately. Arrive early so you have the whole day for slides and downtime.
Who a Waterbom day suits
Waterbom is a water park set in a tropical garden in Kuta, southern Bali. It works for families with children, friends looking for an adrenaline rush and couples who want a relaxed day by the water. There are gentle and very fast slides, a lazy river and a kids' area.
If you are after temples, rice terraces or local life, Waterbom will not replace them. For a cultural day, Ubud in one day is a better fit.
Under park rules, the slides are not for pregnant women, people with heart or back conditions, people who have recently had surgery or anyone with a chronic health condition that could put them at risk. The pools and the lazy river remain open to them. The main park areas are wheelchair accessible, but the slide towers can only be reached by stairs.
What the ticket includes and what costs extra
| Item | Ticket in our selection | How to plan for it |
|---|---|---|
| Admission, slides and pools | yes, on your chosen day | under the ticket conditions and ride rules |
| Towel and locker | not automatically | hire in the park or bring your own towel |
| Food and drinks | no | restaurants and bars in the park; outside food and drinks are not allowed except one bottle of water per person |
| Gazebo, FlowRider, photos, spa | no | charged separately |
| Transport | no | taxi, ride-hailing app or a car with driver |
The park's official website also sells packages with towels, lockers or credit. These are different products, and not every ticket includes them. Before booking, read what is listed for the option you choose.
Payments inside the park are cashless, using a wristband you top up with credit. According to the park, unused credit is refunded when you leave. If you need to leave during the day, ask for a pass-out at the exit so you can re-enter the same day.
How to split your day
The park is open daily from morning until early evening and closes only on Nyepi (the Balinese Day of Silence). Plan for the whole day, as a fast pace makes it easy to forget lunch and breaks.
- Morning: the big slides while you have the energy. The fastest ones have minimum height and weight limits, which staff may check.
- Lunch: food in the park and a break in the shade. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are available, as well as a pork-free zone.
- Afternoon: the lazy river, pools and gentler slides, or one more go on your favourite ride.
With children: the kids' area has smaller slides and water play. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult in the park, and children under 6 need constant supervision. Height limits vary by ride, so check them on the park's website before your visit. It saves disappointment in the queue.
On the slides, wear swimwear without metal zips or decorations. Loose T-shirts, glasses and footwear are not allowed on the slides. You can wear water shoes around the park and leave them on the racks at the base of the tower before your ride.
Getting there and what to bring
Waterbom is on Kartika Plaza Street in Kuta, close to the beach. From Kuta and Legian it is a short taxi or app ride. From Seminyak, Canggu, Nusa Dua or Uluwatu, allow more time for traffic. From Ubud it becomes a full-day trip with a long drive each way.
For a family or group, a car with driver is worth considering. The price is per car for the group, not per person, and includes pickup and drop-off at your accommodation. Parking and overtime are charged separately, and the route should be agreed within your booked area. The park has its own car park, but a space is not guaranteed.
Pack:
- swimwear suitable for the slides,
- sunscreen and a hat for the breaks,
- your own towel if you do not want to hire one,
- a waterproof phone case with a neck strap.
Filming on the slides is only allowed on selected rides and with the required mount. Leave valuables in a locker or at your accommodation.
Choosing a ticket for a specific day
Your ticket is valid for the day you choose when booking. In high season the park can reach full capacity, so buy your ticket in advance rather than relying on the ticket desk at the entrance. When booking, check the age category, what the ticket covers and the cancellation terms for your option.
